Many years ago when Old Glory came out with their separate heads 25mm ACW line, which was great by the way, I used epoxy and a spot of super glue to attach the heads and it worked great. The epoxy was in blue and yellow strips. I have lots of 20mm ECW with separate heads which have driven me to distraction attempting to glue them together with super glue. They never stay in place. I noted in a prior posting someone had recommended EPOXY QUICK SET from WALMART. Does this work well? Any other products? Thanks – Hal

The blue/yellow Epoxy putty was probably Kneadatite (Green Stuff)or it's plumer's putty ancestor. You can get it from pretty much any hobby store (either with the Kneatite label or repackage as Games Workshop, Gale Force Nine…). Super Glue works really well on Green Stuff if you need it. Why not go back to what works for you?

You could always try using a superglue accelerator like Bond-It or whatever the US equivalent

Put super glue on the head, and a dab of white glue in the hole. The white glue stays in place and acts to make the super glue set in just a second or two.

Bob Smith Industries make a 5 minute epoxy that is great. It is sometimes rebranded with the name of the local hobby shop but will say BSI on the back.

Super Glue, even gorilla brand is just too brittle. I like to use contact cement. A toothpick dab on the head, and in the neck hole. Do a bunch of figures, wait 10 minutes from the time of the first one, then put together. For extra tightness, add a drop of Rapid Fix. This is a super super glue that is not brittle. It comes in two bottles, but one is a filler to allow filling stripped screw holes.
