I am thinking of moving to Spain within the next year as a permanent and final relocation. Thing is we are looking at the Southern Costa Blanca, and I am wondering whether there is anything of a gaming scene within reasonable travel of the region.

If you Google napoleonic painting therapy you'll find the adventures of a Wargamer who has just moved there and is buying a house – he's already in touch with another Brit gamer (napoleonic) out there. Not sure where the Costa Blanca is but the guy in the blog is close to Valencia.

For some reasons the member locater is flawed . I have been a member for years bUt Ecuador , where I live , is never shown . I wrote to Bill a long time ago while renewing since the systems díd not accept my registration as living in Ecuador but never Heard Why TMP works with an incomplete world map . Is it some form of discrimination?
I am incidentally a Scot ..

Thanks, it is likely to be around Torrevieja/Murcia, but the places named are certainly drivable.

Murcia used to have an active group. Not heard from them for a while. Will try and dig out some contacts for you

'Old Peculiar' (great British Ale is one thing I miss in Spain!), I have recently moved to Spain from the UK – Valencia Region, buying a house in Gandia, Costa Blanca and hope to be in shortly. We're currently in Calpe while our property purchase completes and I have just taken delivery of a fine collection of 40mm Peninsular Napoleonics that I plan to use with Sharp Practice rules once settled in.

My blog: napoleonictherapy.blogspot.com

I'll only be about 45 minutes drive from Paul who runs this excellent Napoleonic blog, and we are planning to meet up for a coffee, I have been following his blog for several years. link

'Gunnerphil'..are you in this part of Spain too?

Regards,
Lee.

I spend 6 weeks every year in Southern Spain, up until now in Malaga but next year a little further south. There are two wargames clubs in Malaga area. Members are all Spanish and, while friendly to visitors, its difficult to participate if you don't speak Spanish.
