Not sure if any one has heard of Strato Minis, but they're all resin. I got a Bullshark and it's pretty nice, if kind of pricey for resin.

Just asking cause I don't remember ever seeing a post for them, unless it's been a while.
You should see his up coming Ratel/Honey Badger.

Yes, great Battletech proxies.

Proxies? My are they flirting with some serious C&D action! Still nicer looking than some of the official stuff and, yeah, pricey.

They ought to just release a game called "Fighttech"

Models all look good – all look more than vaguely familiar too, if they are not crossing some kind of too close is close enough to be shutdown then nobody is.

Even the names…..Hard to tell a court the design similarity is coincidental when the name is a synonym.

Augustus13 May 2018 2:57 p.m. PST

This will become more and more prevalent as 3d modeling becomes more and more cheap.

doublesix6614 May 2018 2:42 p.m. PST

Yep just a blatant copy of btech mechs this should be interesting to follow see what happens

Actually considering how the last court case went, Harmony Gold is living on borrowed time.

The case of HG vs Hare Brained Schemes was dismissed with prejudices. Some one explained this as by dismissing the charges with prejudice, the judge has effectively barred Harmony Gold from bringing forward a similar case in the future.

So they can't sue over designs that previous courts have determined they don't own. Their foot is in the grave on this and in 3 years it's all over. Only Big West and Studio Nue in Japan could bring a C&D over this, and I think it very unlikely to happen.

Though in that case I'd say HG are engaged in case that makes GWs attempt on sole use of the term Space Marine sensible!

chromedog15 May 2018 11:04 p.m. PST

They're more copies of "Fang of the sun: Dougram" than BT.

Since that's where Fasa "homaged" the Battlemaster, Griffin, ShadowHawk, Thunderbolt, Goliath, Scorpion and galleon tank from (which joined the "unseen" after the HG issues, even though HG didn't own the property nor licence they were from.

Well, you can't copyright ideas or titles.

Very nice…. if they could do 15mm scale I'd be in for a bunch.
