Hi,

Having had these rules (they were and are a free download) for donkey's years, some friends and I had a go at playing them yesterday. They use a ratio of 1 figure =10 men which is ideal for a lot of the actions in the Southern Campaign – we were doing a refight of Cowpens.
We had a bit of a problem with the morale rules but eventually fudged our way through that and got in 10 turns. OK I suppose we done a fair bit of gaming over the years but I do recommend these as giving a decent game with a degree of authencity.

So thanks Bob Bergmann (the author) if you are still around.

One of my South Bay Game Club members (San Francisco Bay Area) gave me a "heads up" about this post. Thanks, Ix.

Bob Bergman here. Thanks for the review. I think the rules work well for the smaller battles of the AWI, mostly in the Southern Campaign. Cowpens and Guilford Courthouse are two of my favorite battles using the rules.
