Yep .. snipers are just another asset in the commanders inventory … Why not use them in a game … ?

British Army Training Memorandum No.47 (Jan 1944) noted that units in the Med had trained one man per Section as a sniper, in addition to the snipers with scoped rifles at Coy HQ. It was recommended he be a 'marksman' but could not be equipped with a scoped rifle. He was to be used to pick off enemy troops during an assault by his Section, operating from a flank or other suitable spot.

German later war units did anticipate numerous self-loading rifles for Grenadier Coys, originally 16 then reduced down to 10, while the Volks Grenadier versions brought in a dedicated 'Sharpshooter' Section at Coy level.
