Hi everybody,

This an unusual post for me, to help my friends of Trafalgar Editions trafalgareditions.com here in Madrid.

After the release of several historical wargames (on Waterloo, Madrid 1808, Trafalgar and Norway 1940), they decided to broaden their game offering and to reach a new audience through a Kickstarter link with a new fantasy game called Blood & Steel, where you can set up duels between mythological characters.

This is a fast play -but not simplistic- game, which comes with some cool miniatures (32mm tall), and the usual quality of their previous releases, all you need to start playing is in the box: a sturdy board, 2 pro quality printed card sets, movement templates, dices, rulebook, of course, etc…

I witnessed how they managed to organize and resolve a small tournament of six players with no experience with the game in 90minutes. It's easy to catch and allows you to play several games in an evening or afternoon, or to play with several players at the same time (perfect for some Friday evenings at the club). The goal it's to defeat you adversary, managing with the card sets, the movements, the stamina and the attacks and defenses of your character.

You can have a look and learn more about the rules&mechanics here: youtu.be/4VycvkV_sfU and here: youtu.be/US2A1QisTvU

The authors told me that if the Kickstarter goals are reached they will expand the miniatures and card sets to offer new characters.

In all, what I see, it's a cool looking product, perfect for fast games even with people not used to gaming (tabletop or board game) and it probably can be modded for other fantasy and historical set-ups, not bad for a small publisher.

Thanks for reading !!

Regards

Alberto.
