…. – armored – air-defense systems – tanks

"Analysis and Pictures by Army Recognition online defense and security magazine editorial team about all the new military equipment, armored, main battle tanks and air-defense systems at the Russian Victory Day parade 2018 in Moscow, Russia. The annual parade takes place on May 9 and marks the Allied victory in World War II on the Eastern Front, on the same day as the signing of the German act of capitulation to the Allies in Berlin, at midnight of 9 May 1945…."

From a wargaming perspective, ten of them hub to hub would be better!

The more I see of it, the more the t14 looks wrong. The turret looks particularly vulnerable.

Tell that to the Nazis, Alan M…

Nazis? Nazi's wouldn't have faced the T14.

The turret is unmanned. Crew all in the hull.

@Alan M: As JayM481 says, the T-14 turret is completely unmanned.

I'm most interested by the BMD4, seems the Russians are doubling down on the dual-gun turrets. 100mm gun for blasting infantry out of cover and ATGMs, 30mm for light armor.

Alan M11 May 2018 12:01 a.m. PST

True, but take out the turret and all you have left is a very low capacity apc!I'm sure there's more to it.

JayM48111 May 2018 9:00 p.m. PST

Turret armour is probably quite a bit thicker than would be the case if you had to stuff a couple of dudes in there.

Hate the orange and black stripes on the sides, sorry.

Begemot12 May 2018 5:44 p.m. PST

The orange and black stripes are references to the ribbon colors for the Soviet medal for victory over Germany in 1945, which is what the parade is commemorating. The Russians apparently think it's appropriate for the occasion.
