Victrix must love you. Surely you get them all gratis by now….they must owe you big time. The shot figure is a clever conversion and anything that can take this degree of magnification has to be well finished….. great work……. |

Thanks all! DH, if only! Actually they did once kindly send me a big box of spare Highlanders which really helped with my Black Watch square. I do wonder how much money I've given Victrix over the years, or at least what total percentage of British infantry they produced that I now own! To be honest they don't seem to be speaking to me anymore, not sure what I've done! They're probably just busy – hopefully working on the plastic RHA they promised would be released "this year" 5 (or 6?) years ago. |

Hi Lord Hill, Have you sent Julian at Victrix any emails? as I have not had any off you for quite a few years now. So not a case of not speaking, just not had any communications for a long time. I have a ton of plastic British you can have so send me your postal address again and I will get them off to you. Send to my LBMS email. As for Royal Horse artillery. We have switched to digital sculpting so that had to go on the back burner whilst a number of Ancient sets have been worked on. Steve. |

See what I started? In all seriousness, when you are working on this scale, you are helping the companies earn a crust. When you then exhibit to this standard, it is the best advert they could dream of. Folk are usually generous, I find……human nature applies. I increasingly combine Perry and Victrix for the British. The latter's figures are superb for the (human) arms and especially the detail on the (fire)arms. The colour poles and their ornaments, anything from the Highlanders, some (not all due to the weird faces) of the heads. Proper Light Company infantry kit. Kneeling poses. Invaluable, but I was originally not convinced frankly. I am now |
