This is one of the podcasts that I've been looking forward to making, and I enjoyed it so much that I had to split it into two parts to not exceed my 20 min length limit

In this first of two parts, I talk about one of my favorite aspects of my D&D campaign world – wargaming alongside my D&D gaming in the same campaign. It's full of challenges and considerations, but the payoff is so much fun!

Give it a listen and stay tuned for Part 2!

Your best answer would be to have you D&D party go through a battle in progress.

Your party is in a town and the local warlord/Baron/Raider decides to raid the town. Do you evade and run, help the defenders or rob the locals and then run. In this way you are still in D&D but you can bring in your miniature to play.

Alternate, an army has just made camp and you hear through the grape vine that the men are to be paid tomorrow. The pay chests are being guarded in the camp but if you break in and steal the payroll you will become rich.

@gamershs – so many different ways to a "best answer!"

* Characters get high level enough that they can raise their own armies and influence the outcome!

* Characters band together (4th – 8th level) and become part of the combat as a figure or stand.

* Characters perform Special Ops types of missions to influence the battle.

And I'm sure many more.
