Several years ago I became interested in doing things with stringbags on sticks, I went through a flurry of plane building but the project went into abeyance until I found a suitable hex mat. Well I finally bought one, and dusted off my plane collection (literally). So here is our first go at Canvas Eagles. link

Good show. I still have my stringbags from the late 1960s when I assembled them as a teenager. I also like your clip-on fire and smoke effect. Jim |

I remember when there was a run on old Battle Masters mats for just this kind of play with 1/72 planes. I still have a small pile at home. Ditto on the impressive look of the 'wounds'! Doug |

Thanks, the fire and smoke is an idea I copied from the Canvas Eagles website. and here is my 'to do' pile I found in the loft…
for some reason I acquired 3 DH4s! Also including an HP 0/400, a Gotha and two Ilya Moromets bombers! |
