I had a number of tank models used for other rules that had their turrets glued in place facing to the front. Not ideal for What a Tanker.

As an alternative to risking wrecking the tanks, while trying to lever the turrets free, I've been using some spare 20mm hex bases with one corner marked in felt tip pen and laid on the engine deck, to show gun direction.

With each "rotation" of the turret the hex is moved to show the new gun position while leaving one of the corners facing forward and in contact with the back of the turret.

You need to keep a finger on the hex while making a move with the tank to avoid dislodging it but the system works pretty well and is a lot cheaper than buy a load of new tanks!

Great idea Trajanus!

A bit of Blu Tack under the base to hold it steady while you move the tank?

I'm using tooth picks, painted and decorated, to indicate turret direction

Sillypoint, do you have any photos of your decorated toothpicks?
