I can remember back in the early 80s when you bought the magazine for the gaming ads and the few game related articles that were in each issue.

Exactly that!

Sad loss of another hobby magazine. It would seem the Internet is killing many real magazines.

Wait…..

I'm readying that militarymodelling.com is closing and that MM will now be part of Model Military International. So does that mean that the magazine has gone/is going? Or that it is being amalgamated?

Sounds like an amalgamation.

I recall the complaints about wargaming articles from lots of the modellers when Battle closed and MM became MM with Battle.

Ha!

Savour the slow revenge!

(I'm kidding – haven't bought it in years but kept all my issues up to the mid-80s, when PW came out virtually all the wargaming went out of MM).

Best modelling/gaming/research magazine EVER! Used to love the occasional "British Regiment" articles and, of course, the DIY articles were amazing. Thanks for the memories…

It has sadly not been a magazine that I would buy for many years – As a youth I eagerly awaited its arrival and read every page – inspirational stuff.

I stopped buying it four years ago but I have all previous 44 volumes since 1972
An incredible source of inspiration

Sadly no proper index

@David Grech – Have you by chance created list from the Battle for Wargame scenario's within the pages of the Military Modelling magazines circa 1978 through to around 1980's?
