I'm looking to add some Americans to my New Guinea forces, but the majority of figures out there are for Europe. What companies make 28mm U.S. Army figures for New Guinea?

Maybe these?

No, Bob Murch's Pulp Figures would not work. The American Army that fought in MacArthur's landings along the north shore of New Guinea would have had "standard" helmets, not the "Montana" style campaign hat.

Bob also has troops in the early tin helmets.

For some reason the efforts of the US Army in the Pacific Theater from 42-45 are largely ignored. There are plenty of options for USMC in all scales, but nothing for the US Army though they took part in many hot actions during the island hopping campaigns.

Years ago I was looking for them in 20 MM and finally gave up.

There are no 28mm US Army troops for the PTO other than a few very early types.

@ ColCampell & nnascati those are in the pre-war uniform, for US Army for in New Guinea this is what is needed the tropical HBT uniform

I've been calling for some for years now but one of the figure manufacturers seem to be interested.

I forgot Warlord make a pack of 10 figures for Merrill's Marauders that would work but there are only 10 fig. so little variety and no support.

The US Army was actually involved in more operations in the Southwest Pacific/PTO than the Marines.

Thanks to all that posted, but it doesn't see like there are many choices.

I'm a little surprised that there is such a limited availability of figures.

Are the Merrill's Marauders separate headed? With a few USMC added for support, each pack of these would make a squad.

If you could find some better pictures of this line:

I found them a little less "Europey". Lots of shirts and rolled up sleeves

I posted some pictures on my blog of a game I ran at Cold Wars using the Pulp Figures for 1941Americans in the Philippines. There are almost no figures in the early style helmets available in 28mm, which is unfortunate.

I've just received a pack of the old WESTWIND Berlin or Bust USA riflemen advancing. They seem to be all wearing the HBT uniform with tucked in shirts and cargo pocket trousers. I'll be adding a few specific bits of gear and then painting them up as Pacific War Army. I'll post again when I have a completed example.
