An avid collector in Bristol, UK has recently passed away leaving behind a massive collection of plastic soldiers, planes and tanks in his garage.

They're all up for auction soon.

Oops, it's only 100,000. Thought it said 250,000 earlier.

This could be any of us….imagine what they would find in our garages and our lead piles…

Selling today and tomorrow. Mostly 54mm plastics.

His garage/storage area looks way more organized than mine!

It is a pretty impressive collection.

But yeah, when we go what will they make of our collections?

I'm wondering whether to leave mine to somewhere that might make use of it. I'm think Bovvy Tank Museum or something similar.

At least they could either use it or sell it.

My family are certainly not interested in any of it, at the moment at least.

and the BBC reported the same number.
30 grad still doesnīt seem much though. Thatīd work out at less than 30 p a Piece.

That was exactly my thought – surely the Britains figures, and those canoes full of Native Americans must be worth a few pounds each?

Did like the descriptions of the figures as "tiny" – 54mm ? They're giants !

Wait until someone finds a hoard of 100,000 2mm figures hidden away in a shoebox evil grin

It's too bad it is not going to a museum, as he wished. The importance of a Living Will.

If it did, countless children could admire the figures and scenes made from them and then wonder why they can't buy toys like that in shops anymore …
