Had a great game at the club with an Italian Colonial Division taking on a small Abysinian army post Adowa. Write up and lots of pictures on the blog. See what you think. gapagnw.blogspot.co.uk

Do you know which 15 mm figures were used for each side? I know Eureka makes some Abyssinians. |

They look like 25mm to me. |

They are 25mm and 28mm and a real mix of figures. Most of the Abysinians are Stratagem with some Irregular miniatures thrown in. The Italian Native troops mainly Irregular I think and the Italian regulars and Bersaglieri are from the Old Glory boxer rebellion range from memory. Chris also has a load of figures from an Italian manufacturer specific to the period and we have a few Zulu War Brtish painted up as officers and gunners from Foundry. |

Good looking game. I've played both these armies and they make for an interesting game. The Abyssinians are very well armed at this point in time. |

Thanks Guys, I think we gave the Abysinians 2 shots plus lots of melee bonus's whilst most of the Italians had 3 firing dice. It was the machine guns that made the difference in the end. |
