I'll go with none. I don't usually go with this "none" crowd, but I never liked those guys. Never bought a single album by them, yes, album. If forced to, I would put Sweet Leaf up there. Other than that, clueless. I usually listen to much better music than BS. Like Little Feat w/Lowell George, The Beatles, The Grifters, Old 97's, Drive By Truckers, John Prine, James McMurtry, Talking Heads, Linda, Concrete Blonde & a ton of others. Yes there is plenty of Black Sabbath music worth listening to. They have their duds, but they have their gold too. I suppose if you're not a fan of early heavy metal they might not resonate, but personally I am a total metalhead & love their earlier work, as well as some of the later stuff. I usually don't listen to music while painting because of the urge to headbang, but a lot of the Ozzie era stuff would be my go-to… Damon. |

There is an early music ensemble, Rondellus, that translated many Sabbath songs into Latin and played it on early medieval instruments and style. Very pleasant stuff…who'd a thunk "Verres Militares" would be real art!?! Listening to heavy metal guitar while painting wrecks my concentration. I save it for the mosh pit, not that I really get to one anymore except in my mind. |

I evolve. And am a metalhead. But … I put on Lawrence Welk last weekend for dancing with SWMBO. She used to teach ballroom in college. Please note: she dances; I hayfoot/strawfoot. Somking is vile and gave my dad cancer (read: he gave himself cancer with cigarettes), so never had an interest. A case of PBR sounds like a good idea. The beer with a taste for … um … thin wallets. Besides, I can retro. |

I actually prefer Dio Sabbath to Ozzy Sabbath. Heresy I know, but listen to the album Dehmanizer and tell me that isn't in the top 20 albums of anything of all time. |
