Very nice Leon!
Only 2 crew? RF has a 3 figure mortar team. I guess a 3rd figure could be bought separately?

wrgmr1,
Thanks for the imput. My sources indicate two 'dedicated' crew with others adding ammo supply.
If 3 crew 'needed' not sure have anything suitable, a repeat pose is going to look odd.
Will have a think.

A kneeling infantryman might do the trick or the proposed kneeling rifle grenade figure (w/o grenade).

Remember that the US 60mm is the practical equivalent of the British 2" rather than the 3"/81mm. Three crewmen really needed?

My apologies Leon, I don't normally game using Americans. I dug out my Normandy Battlegames book. Yes only 2 crew figure for the 60mm mortar.
Somewhere in my brain I thought the American 60 and 81 both had 3 crew.

The Adler 20mm figures are really shaping up impressively – great to see more realistically proportioned (and non cartoonesque) miniatures.

And greetings from Hove ;)

wrgmr1,
No problem, I know how it feels when the memory fails lol

alphus99,
Ah I feel an outbreak of burglary coming in your area if I remember the correct collection of German stuff………….lol
Thanks all for the positive imput.

You might want to add an NCO figure, the book strength for the US 60-mm Squad was a Sergeant, gunner, assistant and ammunition bearers, the number of the latter depending on the unit type.

Starfury Rider, Thanks for that but these are additions to the existing range so plenty of figs in the other sets to make the full squad. Ammo is spread ammongst the other platoon members.

Leon,

I think you are spot on with the crew as-is. NCOs and Ammo Bearers can be picked from other packs and depending on the type of basing (indivdually or some other combo for a player's preferred rules set) may be a more economical/effective option.

Best,
Bill

wargamingUSA ,
Yes when you start adding BAR teams, senior NCO/Officer types, Rifle grnade types to the basic section pack your going to end up with lots of 'spare' figures from the section pack.
theres a pack of handie talkie figs due as well so one of those will do nicely as the mortar section NCO.

Thank you Leon, your suggestions are actually the way I crew infantry support units for Chain of Command.
