Hi everyone,
I am currently working on my Boer War project in 20mm. I have a British GSWagon and was wondering what colour to paint it? I thought I read somewhere they were painted yellow but cannot find the reference. Any help gratefully received!

Taylor "Warpaint, Colours and Markings of British Army vehicles 1903-2003", Vol. 1, Stratus, 2008 says at page 20 "… from the early 1900s until about 1915 or 16, the standard colour used on Army vehicles appears to have been Service Grey…" a "… blue/grey shade, often with the WD designator on each body side in white. Many of these logistic vehicles had canvas tilts and hoods, and these tended not to be painted but instead were left in their natural colour, which could range from a very light, almost white shade of grey, through darker shades of grey, to a dark brown."

Grey it is then. Like the guns. Thank you both for your help.
