Sweden was against Napoleon, and yet they asked one of Napoleon's Marshals (Bernadotte) to be their King. |

If Finland had been Swedish backwater in 1930's Russians would've easily invaded us. No miracle of Winter War. Therefore we wouldn't have gained independence from Soviet Union/Russia in 1917. Perhaps in the late 80's along with the Baltic states. So we'd probably be in shambles and dire straits. |
