link Old and simple trick through the ages, dressing up to infiltrate. Come to think of it, I've NEVER seen or even heard of a game where that was ever tried with figures. If you have done so, do you just pretend that your figures are wearing enemy uniforms/garb, or do you "borrow" a few from your opponent? Dan |

In a skirmish games, number or identify each figure and then roll randomly when you want them to reveal themselves. Leaves everyone guessing how many more and when. |

I ran a game where side A had a relief column on the way. Started on the map on turn 3. Once it got close on turn 5 – ooops! They are the enemy! Swapped the figures and endured a LOT of cursing. Never thought of infiltration. Will definitely have to try it. |

Done it a few times in different ways. You want real fun, try Sharp's Practice in Spain, with guerrillas dressed in your choice of uniform (complete, if you like, with wound remnants apparent to the CLOSE eye.) |

Ran a bulge scenario where some of the US "reinforcements" were actually the German tanks made to look like American. I used US tanks until they got close to other US troops then switched them out with the fake German ones |

Once at Chinese Farm where everybody already knows that the Israeli column was led by a PT-76. Once in The Bulge where "M.P.'s" redirected a column down the wrong road. Once in a race by armored columns to reinforce a bridge, dead center of the table, held by what looked like two T-34's but which were actually Beutepanzer Pzkfw. T-34 747(r). Revenge will be had on the GM's. |

We ran a modern 'what if' where West Germans were confronted by M48's retreating toward them, 'persued' by Soviet forces. Turned out the M48's had been acquired from Vietnam, and had Soviet crews. Interesting. |

Had a UN convoy 'run the gauntlet' to get into a safe area/base only for it to be full of militia……lots of choice words and stroppy dice throwing! |
