The Merovingian campaign advances through its next decade of 530 – 539AD. There were a great many battles fought but the scribes found only time to write about the most significant.

This coming week I will describe briefly how the campaign engine works. I believe it will be a surprise for most.

A very neat and entertaining campaign narrative so far. Are we going to get any details from specific battles?

@Katzbalger,
The reporting of the three game historical series did have more detail.

In this campaign a turn represents ten years generating ample opportunity for some kingdoms to engage in a number of battles. The intent is to see how well the campaign engine builds a narrative (its doing that quite well), what features can be added without it disturbing the flow of events.

If there is a particular battle you wish more detail, then let me know and I can add that in the comments section at the blog.

Cheers,
