Anyone know if there is/was a difference in the facings etc . between the 1st Battalion and the 2nd battalion of the 6th regt? Thanks in advance

The facings were the same for both battalions. The differences were the company distinctions on the Raupenhelm:

1st Battalion
Grenadier Company – Red plume.
1st Fusilier Company – White.
2nd Fusilier Company – White over yellow.
3rd Fusilier Company – Green.
4th Fusilier Company – Green over yellow.
Light Company – Green plume.

2nd Battalion
Grenadier Company – Red over white plume.
5th Fusilier Company – Red.
6th Fusilier Company – Red over yellow.
7th Fusilier Company – Blue.
8th Fusilier Company – Blue over yellow.
Light Company – Green over white plume.

and the fact that he second battalion carried the Ordinarfahne as opposed to the first battalion's liebfahne.

For clarification between 1809 organization; at 3 fuzilier and 1 grenadier Co plus each co.'s Light troops vs 1811 of the above post, that is also from Artilleryman is here:

If you are doing 1809- the LT troops, for wargame purposes, are functioning in a separate co so 5 co. is more typical for "play".
