New releases from Brigade Games Miniatures from USA. Two very recognisable chosen men, but now mounted. Cleverly just tacking the existing torso castings onto riders' legs. I was only yesterday a bit critical of the officer on foot, as I think he is a bit (actually very) puny for You Know Who, but the rest of the range is superb. I think, mounted, he will look far more in proportion. He certainly has more substantial pins now! Harper's face they have really captured well. Add to that British Heavy Dragoons for the Peninsula, a nice imaginative release……..a change from the 1815 look! I somehow recall the command set already released but not the troopers?

Ref the dragoons I believe they had the old Victrix metal moulds but the trooper ones were worn out and for a while only the command figures have been available. Not sure if these are a new sculpt or just a new mould. |

Dragoon trooper riders are new sculpts. Horses are the same obviously. The original mold for victrix trooper pack with separate arms was shot. I posted the Command in my newsletter with them to avoid the "where are the command" comments. And yes, it happens. link |

Next release that are ready for molding are French Chasseurs. Lots of them. I expect to release these the last week of the month. |

and remember these are likely to be the earlier look that everyone is crying out for. The pre Bardin look with the cut away coat lapels and exposed waistcoat. Everyone has done plastic Chasseurs a Chev in the 1815 look recently (well Perry and Warlord anyway). But respondents here have all lamented the lack of the earlier look. Only guessing, but am I right? |
