I've been looking at 6mm for the Seven Years War, primarily Baccus, but there are no miniatures in firing poses, either kneeling or standing. I really want to do some bases with a firing line – any other manufacturers out there in 6mm that would do?

Adler does SYW but the infantry are either marching or advancing.
Heroics and Ros also does SYW and they do make infantry firing. I have seen the Adler figures and they look nice. I have not seen the HR figures.

I've got decentish SYW armies from H&R, and plan on expanding them. Very nice, but despite everyone insisting that their figures are 6mm, they aren't the same scale. H&R 6's come to about the shoulders of Adler or Baccus 6's.

My choice was H&R: you can comfortably get 24 castings in two ranks on a 2"x 1" base, the line is complete, the proportions normal human and the detailing quite good on the current production. But don't try to mix them with Baccus or Adler. (N.B. I made the opposite decision for WWII. When you don't have bright colored coats, regimental standards and drummers, those somewhat exaggerated Adler heads are a lifesaver.)

Cheers Robert, 24 minis on one base sounds good.

Hello Mister Muppet!

Those looking to use firing figures from Baccus often use code SPR08 – Prussian Jaegers as line troops. I think you get 48 figures in a pack, 24 firing and 24 loading. So if your planning on using 24 figures per base each base will have 12 figures firing and 12 figures loading. The few that I've seen looked very impressive.

If your looking for basing I suggest you look at Baccus as well and use their standard basing system 60mm x 30mm for infantry, cavalry, limbers/wagons and 30mm x 30mm for artillery and crew and commanders. Only two base sizes for your entire collection. If your looking to spruce up the look of your basing Baccus also sells basing kits.

Hope this helps you out in some way.

Best regards,

Glenn
