We aren't starting to live the book?

I think we should LARP the book at least.

The book is somewhat fixed in time, specifically the time when words printed on paper were the primary method of transmitting ideas. The trailer suggests much more modern technology, which would allow books to be uploaded to the internet, and downloaded to very small electronic devices, but I don't see any of those things.

Also, unlike in Truffaut's 1966 movie, there are printed words on advertisements and stuff in the world portrayed by the trailer, so apparently people are being taught to read in this version.

I wonder what my kid will think of it, they read the book this year. Interesting part, when they got to the part of the book where the conversation is about how they got to this state of society, the class watched the 1966 movie clip instead of discussing what was in the book, because it was too confusing. All this in an English class.

Will not watch this.

I have very strong views against book burning, because it leads to far worst things.
