I understand that most of the infantry had muskets and only a small proportion had rifles (flank companies?). As the light battalions were in a rifle style uniform which company makes 15mm for these with muskets. I was hoping that AB made them but can't see on the website?
The british rifles figures are unsuitable as they carry rifles and not muskets.
Any ideas as to suitable figures?

Blue Moon Glengarry Light Infantry, which had rifle uniform but used tower muskets:

I assume these are compatible with AB figures?
Odd that no one makes the KGL light infantry

Blue Moon are 18mm. Don't know about AB.

Blue Moon infantry are a little 'chunkier' but mix fine with AB in terms of height and overall level of detail. AB details are a little finer while Blue Moon tend to be more pronounced, in my experience.

YMMV…

Yes, what Bagration1812 said is correct. I primarily use AB, but have a lot of Blue Moon for War of 1812…along with the old Warmodelling Figures from Spain, and some Capitain ones here and there. All work, but the AB do shine.

Just say they are well fed Hanoverians….

so no one knows if anyone makes KGL light infantry with muskets apart from then glengarry infantry mentioned above?

Not in this size; the Perry 28mm range has musket-armed men (as well as riflemen) for the 2nd KGL Light Bn.

As does Brigade Games Miniatures in US

That is definitely a conundrum.
I am in need of the same thing but for Prussian reserve infantry with the british rifle uniform and need the musket vs the Rifle look. I too have not found a suitable option in 15mm.
After review of the BM 15WBT-101 the musket does not look much distinctive to the rifle in length and they do not have the rifle style cords to the front.

Seems my best plan now is to use either OG or AB British Light infantry- paint wings black. Paint the 3 button on the LT front cord which is left green or removed by Lt filing.

Just to divert the thread a wee bit, what were the ratios of rifles:muskets in the two KGL Light Battalions in, say, the 1811-1813 period?

(I know this was discussed about a year or two ago, on TMP, but of course we can't search the archive any more……)

Thanks – all very helpful generically. I also found this:-

I used the email link on the "recruitment" page to ask a specific question about rifle:musket mix in 1811-1813.
