Free Nations will contain army lists for Canadian, French, Dutch, and Australian forces. link
The French Starter Force Box "Durand's Devils" appears to contain three AMX-30 tanks and two Aerospatiale SA342 Gazelle helicopters.
The NATO Starter Force Box "NATO's First Line" appears to contain three Leopard 1 tanks and two PAH-1 BO-105P helicopters.

I like the French kit. Funny choice of Australians? I would've thought Belgian or Italian or the like would make more sense? |

I like the gabled houses… are those going to be available? |

I like the gabled houses… are those going to be available? Yes. They are part of the last Premium Property Releases… not sure when they will be released singly, but they just received shipment of them for those who got in on the pre-order deal. link |

Funny choice of Australians? Not sure how much their infantry kit changes between Vietnam and 1980's, but my guess is that since they already have the different M113 turrets made, it should be easy to fill in gaps. |

The Australians adopted the Leopard, which was essentially a Leopard 1A3 with a different fire control system and more stowage, in the 70s. I may get some for Sabre Squadron but the PSC Leopard A1/A3 or C1 is a much better deal (5 for £21.50 GBP or $24.99 USD from the WarStore). |

Still no idea why Aussies fit a cold war Europe game when Danes and Belgians do. |

Including the Australians in TY is a stretch IMO, but the Aussies have been involved in and contributed to most major wars of the last century. So BF probably thought there's a very good chance that they would be players in any "Cold War Gone Hot" scenario even if they didn't have a contingent in place in Europe. The rough and tumble Aussies never turn down a good scrap. |

Plus BF is in New Zealand… Hey, it's historical what if anyway, so why not. |

The excuse for the Aussies provided several months ago on the (now defunct) Battlefront forums was that the Aussies and Kiwis had a unit in Europe participating in joint maneuvers when the fighting broke out. And as others have noted, Battlefront is based out of New Zealand. So there's some publisher's bias involved there. Italy's further south, in regions that weren't covered by the map in the rulebook. So it'll likely be a while until we see them. Belgium, however, does have military forces on the map in the book. And iirc, they're now the only NATO military that's on that map, and not represented by lists in the game. |

Beligum would not be to strange an option for them either Leo's Scimitar Scorpion Spartan Troops with M1 helmet, FN MAG and slr They would only be missing the Kanonenjagdpanzer As it happens PSC will be soon releasing all of this, including the Kanonenjagdpanzer and blindcide operating infantry |

British guns and American M1 wobble-pot helmet… Everything else exists in model form. |

Yep…same M1 pot & FN for the Canadian Infantry….save for uniform differences on the battledress. |
