One of those things I love about Russian weaponry, pretty much everything except mortars come with a bayonet attachment point… and not so sure about the mortars.

Errm. The mkb42 is german. It's the first version of the stg 43/mp44 or whatever you want to call the german assault rifle.

The Japanese were keen on the bayonet too. Even their machine guns had them.

IIRC it was first issued in November '42 and none were taken to Stalingrad.
