Does it have to be historical? I'd go for Gordon Ramsey or Anthony Bourdain, just for atmospher..and maybe a Nigella Lawson in cheesecake pose.

That guy on Rawhide…having a block on his name.

I already have a Maiori chef/chief.

And not one I want, but is Gordon Ramsey a historical or a fictional chef?

Bismarck07 Apr 2018 9:44 a.m. PST

it would have to be Escoffier.

Brave Face!

I know who you mean--and I'm so old it's unclear to me, too!

The name "Charles Winneger" comes to mind as the actor, and I think they called him "Wishbone."

In any case, Mark Copplestone sculpted him to a "t" in his old Western range of figures, so if you want him, you can find him!

Dear Patrick, may I slightly correct you ? The actor playing Wishbone (indeed !) in Rawhide was Paul Brinegar. See the IMDB-link here:
link

He had an impressive screen career that started in 1946)and ended almost fifty years later, a year before he died (March 27, 1995).
I would love to add him to my collection, so if anyone can produce a link I would be happy – thanks !

Whemever108 Apr 2018 9:07 a.m. PST

Just to add a "chef", the one I'd most like to add to my collection would be Terrence McKenna. Or (more in the proper era) Dr. Richard Evans Schultes.

+1 for the Soup Nazi, Casey Ryback ("I'm just a cook") and Aretha Franklin.

"No soup for you. Come back one year. Next."
