My Union VI Corps takes shape – my 2018 28mm gaming project:
I have finished the 3 brigades of the 1st Division at Gettysburg. A total of 12 infantry regiments, 7 artillery batteries, the divisional cavalry regiment and various caissons, wagons and commanders.
These are primarily Old Glory (my figure of choice) with a few others mixed in for flavor (Saber&Sash, Dixon, Perry)
There is a group of us in the Lone Star Historical Miniatures (LSHM) club here in San Antonio who are building forces to start playing early summer.
I am now working on Gordon's Georgia brigade of confederates before I start on the 2nd Division of VI Corps. We are using Regimental Fire & Fury and plan to start playing some games soon. This grouping has well over 400 finished figures. |

Interesting choice, largest Corps in the Army of the Potomac but one that had little participation in the battle. |

jdginaz – our group does not plan to fight Gettysburg, just use the OOB to build our force. Some great research docs on units & strengths that allow us to build regiments of various base sizes. We are using the 40 men per base with F&F rules. I have always been a big fan of MG Sedgwick so decided to build his corps. great fun, will keep you all posted. next up I will post my work on Gordon's brigade. |
