Good Afternoon Gents, Just in case you might be interested I've started a group covering David Brown's Napoleonic rules, General de Brigade. link A good place to share information, battle reports and have fun. Please have a look. Cheers, Paul |

Nice work… Wish the best for your gaming with GdB but unfortunately i avoid all versions of FB so I cannot interact. Still I can visit the basic articles and photos. |

Aaah. The pros and cons of Facebook. I was skeptical too but it's a free country unless you live in ????? which I won't name or they'll attack me with nerve agents. Cheers, Paul |

Someone is going to invent a better Facebook and make more money. It isn't Instagram, Tappatalk or Snapchat either btw. It will have less obtrusive ads, an application that is less resource intensive but looks the same in a browser, less disturbing data collection, no separate Messenger program, and a slew of other features |

Not sure why you would not just use the General de Brigade Forum. It is a great forum to 'share information battle reports and have fun. Also, many people (including me) will not use big brother Facebook. |

One recent problem popping up is the actual rules publishers and/or manufacturer decides to end their forum, with some warning for a month….. think Battlefront and Flames of War for recent example. Then all the historical posts go puff….. So any well used gaming forum now needs to be independent of the rule publisher and/or manufacturer. They should directly add their own input, answer questions and such…. but have no admin control on the actual site. Site policing is done by the site members (delete too many negative rated comments for a spell of time, restrict access etc..) and mod's of some knowledge of the subject material. |

Our group plays Shako 2. I've never tried GdB, does that exclude me? Cheers Thomas |

General de Brigade is my favourite set of rules. Facebook is not my favourite site. Leaving aside having your data tracked, I just don't like the way Facebook manipulates what you see. Sadly I don't think it is a 'good place'. :-( That said, I enjoy your posts on the General de Brigade forum, so I hope you'll keep posting here and there too. :-) |

FB is just a long list of posts – so hard to find what I want, unlike a forum with titled threads. So why is FB so popular? |

I'm a member of the GdB Facebook group. It's a fun group and Paul is doing a great job as the group administrator. I've been using GdB rules since 2008. Got the Deluxe version in 2010 and have had many enjoyable battles using the GdB Deluxe rules.
God bless, John T. |
