Comments or corrections?

I'm looking for a modern narrative (last 25 years or so) of the war of the first coalition, especially the fighting in the Netherlands 1793-94. I have Read Phipps's volume on the Nord, and have Dodge's volume. Lynn's Bayonets of the Republic is more analysis of the Nord than narrative. Got Blanning's volume on the Revolutionary Wars. Is there anything I'm missing?
Thanks,
Phil

Not as far as I know, but would be very happy to be corrected. Wouldn't it be wonderful if a decent historian could turn their mind to a detailed English language account of these wars. Instead, we get yet more books on the Peninsula and Waterloo.

Green Tiger,
Is it Jordan R Hayworth Revolutionary France's War of Conquest in the Rhineland that you were alluding to? Or is there something else coming down the pike?

Hayworth's title looks interesting but it appears very pricy. Last time I looked it was £90.00 GBP

Paul Demet : We are accustomed to do our duty

Harrington (editor) : With the Guards in Flanders

For those who are interested, I am about a third of the way through Hayworth (to the fall of the Brissotins). The focus is primarily on French politics and origins and level of commitment to tha "natural frontiers " as war aim. While interesting to me, it is not what I was looking for as a narrative of the campaigns and battles, in fact operational details are virtually absent. While glad I'm reading it, my search for a modern narrative goes on.
vonW, thanks for the suggestions, have already read Demet, will look for Harrington. Is it mainly an individual's memoir, or does he place it in a broader narrative?
Thanks,
Phil

Hi Valmy

I am currently working on a history of the 1793 Rhine campaign, which will be a detailed account of the campaign and cover all the significant battles – so should complement Hayworth

Hi Paul
That would be very interesting, look forward to it. Keep us posted when it is released :)
