I've got some old 1/3000 Navwar US and Japanese carriers that I'd like to get flight deck decals for but I don't know who makes them. I haven't had time to research it, and I was hoping someone could short-circuit that need by passing on a bit of their superior knowledge on the subject. Thanks in advance. |

If you can't get decals, one trick that works very well is using Chartpak Graphic Art tape. This comes in various widths down to at least 1/32" and in various colours and can be used to mark out deck markings on your carrier models quite easily. |

You could print your own on decal paper. |

You could print your own on decal paper. yes you can. Remember you can't print white so make the decals deck colour and paint the deck white to show through the markings. |

Thanks for the input guys. I found some Fujimi 1/3000 ship sets in plastic in which you get 7-10 ships per set and the carriers have flight deck decals included, but it appears they only make Japanese ships. I'll probably just live with plain flight decks because I already have all the ships I need and don't really want to buy more just for the decals. 22nd, I found pinstripe tape at 1/64(as well as 1/32) but I'm not sure I want to get into that which promises to be fiddly work. As for printing my own, I know nothing about how to do that and don't want to burn the calories learning for just a small handful of decals. Again, thanks for the suggestions. |
