And Calpe vs Victrix and Warlord?

I think they are too big for Perry myself, but I'd like to see them along side one another.

If I was buying whole units they are fine, but I need a few voltigeur cornestist in great coats and for light infantry I can't have all the musicians be giants.

It's been irritating given the spate of Napoleonic Skirmish rules that I can't get a voltiger cornetist in a greatcoat. That oughta be a standard thing.

Why does he have to wear a greatcoat?

For 1812 campaign game – the entire commpany is in greatcots.

Flashman – All of these except the Front Rank French Line Lancers and Foundry Line were painted by me.
AS you can tell my painting got better over time.
First OG, Sash and Sabre, next Elite, Foundry then Calpe were the latest. 3.0 readers really help!

Calpe and Warlord are ok together although the Landwehr caps are quite different in size. Elite are large and very different sculpts. Front Rank, same size as Calpe, but chunkier.

Foundry, OG and Sash & Sabre are quite a bit smaller. Perry are pretty much the same size as Foundry, no wonder there.

Tremendously helpful – thank you!

Very helpful, also firms my opinion that Calpe are the finest.

You are most welcome.
This photo didn't load, last one before cavalry.

My Mistake, the French Young Guard in previous photos are Front Rank not Foundry. The Front Rank Figures match Calpe very well is size.

All the Foundry Napoleonic's were Perry sculpts, and are small in size just like their own figures.

Jeez, Front Rank are massive in the side by side. I'm already mixing them in, but in seperate units.

Yes especially the earlier sculpts. The reinforcement packs are smaller.
Still love them!

FR……Bless them. Great sculpting and casting quality. Superb detail, with almost no prep needed.

But the anatomy. The Young Guard, above, have thicker arms than legs; they have the build of gorillas, with huge shoulders, hands that hang down to their knees and stubby Hobbit legs.

But they have been painted up beautifully and the new Reinforcement sets are far better.

Thanks deadhead! The photography makes them large as well.
