It's the (belated) battle report from our annual, "Hey, Christmas is over and all those gingerbread houses are on sale … let's make a city and destroy it with kaiju" game.

Hollywood tropes.
Watching Brikebeinerne(the last king) tells the story of the norweian civil war of the 1100-1200s. A few brave Brikebeinere must bring the infant heir to the throne to the coronation im Nidaros from south eastern Norway. On their heils are the evil boglerne, The rival clan.

The evil boglerne are supported by the Danes who in turn are supported by the church.

Anyway all the medieval Hollywood tropes are there.
The movie is set in 1204. But you've got plate partial plate armor, random fantasy leather armor, coat of plates/Brigandines. Most impressive are the random 15th century sallets…

Everything(almost) is of course brown.
The danes are cliché bad guys raping and murdering. Exchange danes for English/British and Mel Gibson would get an erection.

Thought the movie was enjoyable. A bit heavy on the anti-Church meme.

As to the cliche Danes – if he knows his history, I doubt Gibson would need to have them exchanged…

Having just wasted 2 hours on Alien Covenent…..why not!

Tthough hopefully I can find a version without an aroused Mel and any sort of exchange.
