I've put together a nice little sci fi scenery piece and I don't want to ruin it by trying to freehand paint stuff like numbers, warning signs etc.Does anyone know where I can get some fairly generic sci fi/ industrial decals that would scale well with 1/72?

The GW decals sheets are generally $1 USD on the Ebay bits seller stores. Most of the numerals work fine in 1/72. That's my scale as well.

If you don't find anything you like, feel free to drop me a line.

If it's generic and fairly simple graphics that you want I could make some decals in a relatively short time. Complex designs would have to go to the end of the queue.

Maybe look into Gundam decal sheets available on eBay. While they always have genre-specific unit markings, etc, they also often have useful number sequences, stripes, broken lines, etc that could be used on a building model.

Don't be put off by the scale listed on the set, the giant robots are supposed to be huge, so numbers will be correspondingly larger than aircraft numbers, etc.

Thanks guys, great info – appreciate it. Miscmini, that's a great offer – may yet take you up on it! Would you mind if I added a link to your site from mine? We make rules, you make minis – I'm sure we can help each other out!

I don't mind at all.
