NO, Tango…the incident took place.

BUT, 10k men did not swarm the post. There were 10-20k Afghans/Pathans on the march, but only a portion of that number attacked the post.

Most sane accounts put the numbers at about 2,500 actually in the assault(s) or very close by.

In short, the post did a hell of a lot more than Un Contra Dix and are worthy of being celebrated, but they certainly did not fight 10-20k men.
