Well I am finally here after 3 days of driving. I bit tired but we had lots of help unloading. Time to rest up for Easter service and then two weeks of training in St Louis. Any recommendations for sites to see there in the evenings? Hope to get my gaming stuff set up after I start working here permanently. Then gaming. Already made a couple connections from a previous post! |

In St. Louis there is Miniatures Market link a bricks and mortar retail outlet for the Miniatures market mail order. Big Muddy holds games there on the first Saturday of the month. I will be holding my monthly game on Saturday April 7, The Battle of Wavre at my house in O'Fallon IL. If interested in either let me know. Terry |

There are some sites around nearby that were part of Sterling Prices' invasion of Missouri in 1864 that leads up to and includes the Battle of Westport. About half way to St. Louis is the town of Herman which has a number of wineries. |

Welcome to KC! Make your way to Table Top Hobbies in Overland Park, a wonderful locally owned gaming store. Also worth checking out is Pawn & Pint, a pub and gaming cafe by Union Station in downtown KC. A couple of gaming conventions to be on the look out for: Borderwars, put on by Heart of America HMGS chapter. This year's con takes place mid May out by the stadiums in eastern part of town. More info here: hahmgs.org Recruits, the largest con in the area at the Lee Summit H.S. in southeast part of town. This year in late Sept, info here: recruitsconvention.com Finally, there's BBQ! You need to check out Jack Stack, Joe's, and the venerable Arthur Bryants. Shoot me a private message is you are looking for folks to game with as well. |

So what brings you to KC? |

Well striker since you asked. When my marriage was falling apart at the end of last year, I asked myself what it was I really wanted in a relationship and with whom. I decided I wanted to meet a traditional Asian woman. So I signed up for a dating site for women from China. I met a few and talked a bit then out of the blue I met this one. She was chinese her husband had passed away several months prior, and she was in the Kansas City area. When we started talking about being together cost of living was a big factor. One income in California is not good and we want to travel and do on. So the decision was made for me to make vid to KC. I found a job quickly and here I am! |

That is the huge problem with Kansas City. Plenty of jobs, lots of good gaming, cost of living is acceptable, etc. Enjoy . |
