Just thought I would share something that amused me…. So the Warlords are using some sort of online ticketing agency this year. After booking my ticket they sent a confirmatory email. The email included a link for asking questions such as travel, parking, etc. Nothing odd there. Except, because it is an agency that obviously handles all sorts of different events, one of the potential question subjects was 'dress code'! Dress code at a wargames show! Just imagine… |

Heck one can't even get all the attendees to shower and use deodorant, let alone a particular dress code. ;) |

20th- When you say "trainers", are you talking about footwear or underwear? |

I was thinking of footwear. Most wargamers adhere to privacy about the underwear department – but it's well known that WWII gamers tend to be commando….. ….that's a nice image….. …and that was sarcasm….. ….yeesh. That's something you don't want to think about for 60 minutes. |

Trainers is a kind of underwear!!? That's as bad as the Aussies wearing thongs on their feet! |

Wasn't there a thing about people showing up dressed in German uniforms that caused a bit of a stir a few years ago? Perhaps that is what they are talking about. |

I think all gamers should be held to formal Mess uniform with all decorations for the era they are gaming. |

"That's as bad as the Aussies wearing thongs on their feet!" Better on their feet than where Americans wear them! Although mine tend to make a "flip-flop" noise when I wear them the day after "Chili Night". |
