Nice! This campaign is fascinating – I've been collecting stuff for it for years and have finally committed to painting up more of it. I manage to do everything but French infantry.

Cheers Flashman, I intend to have French infantry but have started with Poles for now.

The Cossacks are great in their subdued colours (so often they look like multi-coloured cartoon characters) and great snow effect table base.

Your discussion about base depth is interesting. Makes you realise why some makers leave the bayonets off, occasionally, as an option to add, because they can be so fragile……..

Or so I am told…………

so when you have a shouldered musket – an added bayonet isn't affecting any base depth.
In case you want to be more base depth realistic, cut the musket's off right from the left hand of a miniature firing it.

Thanks guys, have pretty much decided to go with 50mm front and 60mm depth, jury still out on making cavalry bases a little deeper. Planning to have a go next weekend whilst the basing department is at home so we can work through it together.
