I ran another demo day for Necromunda. We had three people learn to play today, two of them had played miniature games before, one had not.

We played a quick match up for the first game with the player who had never played minis before. Just a kill 'em all type thing to mostly get the mechanics down for him.

Then we did the Ambush scenario. The Escher were the attackers.

The game went pretty well and ended up being incredibly close. The Escher were able to jump to an early lead, causing a serious injury on one of the Goliath champions and taking the other one out of action.

They then herded the Goliaths for a few turns but then the Goliaths turned things around and took out a few Escher who then failed their bottle test.

Disaster!

All but one of the girls ran away, she was surrounded by 3 Goliaths while two more were moving up with ill intent.

But then in their turn 3 of the Goliaths ran away.

In the last turn though the Rivet cannon took the last Escher out and set her on fire. Nasty stuff.

Looks and sounds great! What's the terrain in the pics?

(I need to get out there again at some point, wife has family in Pittsburgh, and it's only 6 hours away.)

The terrain is the bug hunt corridors at Fantasy Arc. I got them at Adepticon last year and then expanded what I bought with some more specialty rooms in June or so.

If you do come out to Pittsburgh let me know, it is a great city and I'll set up a game if you are interested.

Nice looking game.

I want my Van Saar!

Are there plans to compile all the rules into a single book?

Yes but only after you've bought them all separately.

I started assembling the miniatures last night. They are pretty awesome!

They are very nice figures. The Escher are especially nice and easy to convert.
