I hate to do this but I need to reach out. I ordered from Redoubt in January and I now understand it is under new ownership. I've communicated with Andy Grubb but now silent. Are others having issues with orders and delivery? Andy, if you are out there, check your email. Sorry.

Esquire et al:

I had a quick and very personable response from Andy in late February:

One of the first things that I have done is to have a new Redoubt website constructed which is now operational if you wish to check it out.I was aware that there were problems with the old site.

I normally like to turn orders around as quickly as I can, however I have taken Redoubt over with practically no stock so I'm currently running a bit slower than I like but now catching up. cheers Grubby

Hopefully he will see this and reassure you…

I got an acknowledgement that my Redoubt order was being processed on 24 Feb and I have not heard anything since.

Cheriton; thanks for the info.

Andy's a good guy and there is no doubt that you will get your stuff – the only question is when. Sounds as if he is struggling a bit – the sheer volume of moulds in Redoubts ranges must be mind blowing – finding the right ones (if he has no stock) must be a nightmare. Good luck to him and I hope you get your stuff soon – you WILL get it – just a question of time.!!!

KhivaJoe
Bit of an understatement on the volume of moulds
Still he is slowly getting on top

Andy is having to learn a new system, he is aware of your order and will get back to you….

He has had to set up a whole new work shop to cope with the new moulds and as it has been stated is trying to fulfill orders and build up stock orders so he can fill future orders in a more timely manner

When I spoke to him earlier he did say teething problems including walking into the workshop and finding a section of racking had collapsed spilling the moulds on the floor….took a whole day to match all of them back up.

Andy will see you right
He says please email him again and he will get back to you

Good to know. You have my commitment. Thanks for the effort to support a very good product line.

I will be ordering but I think I'll wait a month or two.

I sincerely hope with new ownership there's a change in packaging. Metal minis. need to be inside boxes, not vinyl bags. Too many unnecessary bent components, totally preventable. It's a simple fix and for the majority of orders would require pretty small boxes.

Esquire27 Mar 2018 11:37 a.m. PST

I would prefer boxes but OK with plastic bags. I've not had any serious damage. But at this point, still await the figures. I am worried. I really love this range but no response.

To close this loop, Andy came through. While just reading between the lines, it does appear that he is catching up and had lots to do post closing. I do love this line particularly when using some Steve Barber heads. Thanks Andy and I will be back.

My experience has been a bit different. I got acknowledgement of my order. Then was told when it shipped out. It arrived yesterday, safe and sound. It was shipped in a bubble wrap mailer with plastic bags. The figures, which had delicate bayonet mounted muskets, all arrived in good shape.
