Some of the thing I read here make me question if we have been visited by the 50 Cent Party. link
Has TMP become enough of a force to attract their attention? |
Bashytubits | 20 Mar 2018 7:39 a.m. PST |
If we have, the real question is did we get our 50 cents worth. |
zoneofcontrol | 20 Mar 2018 7:57 a.m. PST |
VCarter, you running dog, Yankee Imperialist! (LOL) I hear what you are saying, anything is possible. Some of the replies do seem almost cookie cutter/form letter and from predictable sources. But, TMP is an international body that would include different points of view from different locales. I expect and see similar things when a certain gaming organization and its cons are discussed. Same praises or same complaints each time. At this point I'll just fall back on my Catholic school education and mention that little thing about being sinless and stone throwing. (i.e. I won't be throwing any stones at anybody today.) |

Not even the two bits. Dan |
dragon6 | 20 Mar 2018 10:01 a.m. PST |
Be careful Dan, two bits is only 25 cents. Are you trying to short change the 50 Cent Army? |
John Leahy | 20 Mar 2018 11:13 a.m. PST |
Nah, just allowing for the real value of what it's worth! |
Cacique Caribe | 20 Mar 2018 11:22 a.m. PST |
Dragon6 LOL. John is right. I meant 25 cents. After all, aren't they always manipulating their currency? :) Dan |

I thought we were owned by the Russians, oh look someone has brought me tea. |
Oberlindes Sol LIC | 20 Mar 2018 3:19 p.m. PST |
It wouldn't surprise me if we were a target, because everyone knows that the general population pays a lot of attention to what wargamers have to say. |

No, but I had a friend get called and interviewed by the NSA back in the 80's. He was playing a old Play-by-mail game "Nuclear War" (By Flying Buffalo). He had called one of his allies to discuss the game, his ally being in England. The NSA doesn't like it when people talk about giving other countries nuclear weapons on over sea calls, go figure. |

The 2-bits have been around for a while, "guiding" online opinion discussions, posting reviews, criticism, complaints, starting boycott campaigns, planting viruses, etc: link And our businesses and politicians now make most of their important decisions based on what they think their public is posting online: link So, who knows? Maybe TMP has been hit more than a few times. I hope not but, how would you know if the account address was real or fake? They clearly seem to have found ways around most identity security measures. How will I ever believe any of the poll results? |
Cacique Caribe | 20 Mar 2018 8:36 p.m. PST |
Cyrus: "How will I ever believe any of the poll results?" You are right. I say we scrap all poll results starting from around 2007. :) Dan |
Cyrus the Great | 20 Mar 2018 8:58 p.m. PST |
We need to form a committee to start an investigation and hire an independent auditor* to go over all poll results… immediately! I may never sleep soundly again!! *Not Price Waterhouse.** **Oh, and apparently Cooper. |

Whatever it takes man. Spare no expense. I'm sure that, in the end, after thousands of man-hours and millions of dollars later, we might be able to find the handful of fake TMP accounts (if they exist at all). That's the way to do it. Good job! Dan |

I don't want to go into details about why I asked this question. That would most likely lead to a visit to the DH for a personal attack. But, a comment was made on another topic a few days ago that I would consider outrageously over the top even for a useful idiot. |
Cacique Caribe | 21 Mar 2018 10:23 a.m. PST |
VCarter Ok I admit, he might have been paid his full 4-bits for that one though. :) Dan |
