Anyone else noticed that? I wouldn't have known if didn't have the close caption on. But then I played it back and there it was.

I wonder if that was always there since the movie's first release, or if it was added to create a plot bridge for Aliens 3.

Isn't it the sound of an egg pod opening?

darthfozzywig19 Mar 2018 7:14 p.m. PST

And yes, I hate that sound.

Too bad no one made any more Alien movies after the first two.

The people who sat through the end credits of the movie probably thought it was rats in the theater… ;-)

LOL. So true!!!

At least I know it wasn't a rat here at home. If it had been a rat, it would have been our first one indoors, and one or both of my dogs would have heard it and ripped it apart in seconds. That's what they do to rats outdoors, and they love it. :)

yep – it was in there from the start.

Unlike the various endings for the first movie that were considered or even filmed…

- Egg hidden aboard Ripley's shuttle
- Fight with Alien ends abruptly… then you hear Ripley making her log entry, and the camera pans to show the alien recording it in her voice (after eating her head?) – yes, this was actually considered.

Ghostrunner: "and the camera pans to show the alien recording it in her voice (after eating her head?) – yes, this was actually considered."

That's just wrong on so many levels. Just wrong.
