Since nobody started this one or I missed it. It's a tough job and if somebody doesn't do it, my friends and I don't get to run and enjoy all those games and shopping. We had a blast running Triumph events this year and the HMGS people and the host staff we had the pleasure of talking to were all very helpful in making sure we had what we needed for a successful weekend. Great job guys! looking forward to Historicon. |

Agreed, thanks to HMGS and all the staff and volunteers who made Cold Wars so enjoyable. A special thanks to Greg who ran the dealer hall, it was his first time and he did a spectacular job, extremely helpful, courteous and a pleasure to deal with. I hope he's back for Cold Wars next year; thanks again Greg…………… |

Absolutely! First time really dealing with HMGS in an "official" capacity and everyone courteous, quick to respond, and knowledgeable. Thanks to all, for what is, in many ways, a thankless job! |

Thank you to all for your hard work, dedication and passion. Thank you for giving freely of your free time, and time away from your family and friends. And thank you for not listening to the negative voices but instead moving ahead to try and improve the convention. |

The staff did a great job. I have never been visited by the coordinator so often, nor the convention director and other BOD members during a show. Hats off to a great job done by all! There was plenty to overcome for them and everything seemed to operate smoothly. |

yes, thanks indeed. I think they were dealt a tough hand, what with the facility under renovation. I sense they were not as well informed by the Hotel and had to adapt quickly on site. Ity may be that way for? another 6 months? longer?…. Will be interesting to see if we continue to stay at the LHR in the future. |

Agreed. First rate job all around, and my special thanks to Registration, Hobby U and Greg at the Flea Market. And we should say something nice about the GMs who are also volunteers, entertaining us at considerable expense and effort. The Host. I agree. I'd like us to go on holding one of the annual conventions there--but the Host has to make more of an effort. They're spending the money, but starting everything and finishing nothing provides us with inconvenience rather than benefit. There were a lot of promises about Historicon, but I'd heard some of them before about Cold Wars. And "hopefully" is never an encouraging word. |

Allow me to add my applause. I hadn't been to an HMGS convention in longer-than-you-can-believe and I was very pleasantly surprised at how well things ran. From my online registration process to onsite badge pickup, registering for additional games at the con, confirming my table for Wally's Basement, it all went humming along like a well oiled machine. Reading some of these post-convention threads, I'm now aware that there were headaches behind the scenes but I think few of us punters saw it at the time, which is the important thing. |

Particular congratulations to whatever person or people were responsible for registration. You fixed a problem that utterly baffled thirty years of your predecessors. Well done! |

Greg, Your constant attention to our needs really made the Cold Wars dealer's hall experience as smooth as could be expected. In our opinion you easily surpassed any previous dealer's hall coordinator's performance. Thank to you and your staff Rob/ Eureka Miniatures USA |

Agreed! When reading this forum, you would think that HMGS is the second coming… of Satan! However, I too was impressed by the number of times someone came by and asked me if everything was OK… Thanks to all the staff and volunteers for another great show… Daniel/Six Sided Simulations. |

Heather and her staff, especially Greg in the dealers hall, a big THANK YOU. It was much appreciated. I have to say the positive waves from customers and friends who spoke to me about registration was amazing. Great job all around despite the Host constantly rolling marbles under your feet. |
