There have been many incarnations of the Batmobile over the years; I've found a lot of models here link , however, others on TMP are probably aware of even more incarnations of the iconic auto. I encourage everyone to post additional editions. Obviously then the question is: Which Batmobile is your favourite? |

1966 TV series. The first movie one was nice too. The bat-doily being the worst. (2nd or 3rd movie from the nineties) |

164. It's an Austin Healy with fins. The Austin Healy is right up there with the Spitfire for elegant, very British, sense of design. I detect Alfred's influence on the choice. |

The 1966 tv series version. I had a metal model of it when I was a boy. I think Corgi made it. I would guess the scale at about 1/48. |

Original TV version. I still have my Corgi model from the 60s, with box (though the box is a bit battered). I also built 1 using the Revell Lincoln Future kit back in the mid 90s, before they sorted out the licencing issue was sorted allowing a proper kit to be built. Considering it was made based on a couple of photos from a book and memory – pre-internet and the series being available to buy – I'm pretty proud of the result. The story behind the building of the original is pretty amazing. The Future was a concept car loaned out for a movie. Ford didn't want it back, but couldn't give it away, so sold it to Barrios for $1. USD He got a call to see if he would build the Batmobile for TV, said yes before finding out how little time he had to build it. Sitting in the back of his workshop was the Future so he took the clear roof panels off, extended the fins, repainted it black and the rest is history. After Warner Bros got the movie licence they owned the Batmobile name whilst Barris owned the TV design and it took years for them to come to an agreement to allow models to be made again. |

> The original Batmobile from the ‘60's TV show. The TV show is not the original, there was a serial in the forties (I think) but the "batmobile" from that is best left forgotten anyway – they didn't have the budget to make or even slightly modify a car so it was a standard car from the studio lot. |
