Does anyone know who makes a nice a larger-scale Janissary figure? Preferably later period. Thanks.

Multiple duplicate posts deleted. Don't know how one post became 6.

You don't make it clear whether you want a single, large figure or quantities of them. They are out there and eBay is your friend. The only ones that I'm aware of are late Renaissance period and they were made by Elastolin in 70mm in hard plastic. However, in recent years there have been copies produced in a softer plastic in bright colors. There are about 5 different figures available when you can find them. Here is a single officer figure available now:

I understand that there have been quantities of the plastic re-casts available in the UK, noted large-scale skirmish guy and plastic expert Mike Blake has posted pictures of them before. You might try checking the Yahoo Little Wars group, where Mike posts, to see if anyone there has a stash.

Thank you. I'm looking for a single, for modelling/painting, not gaming.

Try Historex Agents. They stock a wide range of collectors figures from all over the world.

I really like the look of this one;

I quite agree Clib. Many of the new metal figures from Russia are popping up and they are all of this quality. I recently bought several of the various Saracens now available, and overall they are extremely good.

I believe New Hope Design did one in 54mm for their Osbrey linked series. I think I saw one not too long ago.

Thank you all, and especially clibinarium. That figure is very nice and just what I was looking for. A new company for me too.

I can probably get the Elastolin Janissary Officer next month for you if you are interested. This one -

Thanks for the offer nnascati, but clibinarium's suggestion is just what I was after.
