Last year I started printing and working on an 18mm Ultramarines Army. Now I am printing a Space Ork army to fight them with. I've recently converted to hex terrain and am thinking of using the Memoir '44 rules with some additions for 40K. For example Space Marines would ignore flag results. Has anyone tried similar? Thanks.

A nice thing to do is look at the boardgamegeek and search for user Pete Belli and looks at his 'session' reports (200+). He is almost famous for using memoir 44 and battle cry games rules and components for a multitude of other settings. Actually let me give you a link:

Fantastic stuff, historic, futuristic, I love it all, so much nice ideas and inspiration. Hope it helps.

I think a M44 type of variant for 18mm or smaller 40K would be a great thing. I've thought about doing an Armor game at 6mm.

Heroes of Black Reach does this. I just found the Heroes system and it is constructed so a 15mm vehicle or group of infantry can be used on the counters or in place of them
