Any one know if a company produces minis in 6mm of a frontier log blockhouse? Large on top and small at the bottom. They were used in the French & Indian war, American War of Independence and the War of 1812. Some say they saw service in the Plains Wars as part of bigger forts. I thank you in advance for your help.

Check out Irregular Miniatures. They make a western fort, as well as Russian village pieces that would work.

Levenminatures have a blockhouse in their ACW range along with other log buildings.

Heres a 3d print I made for 10mm.

Close to what your looking for?

that 3D print would be great except for the door up top. I am looking for a stand alone blockhouse with the door on the bottom. I well check out Levaminiatures though.

I can recommend Levenminiatures for prompt service. For other American buildings there are also some compatible models for barns and farmhouses from Battlescale and Totalbattleminiatures

Tigerjim, about how much would that blockhouse run?

Has anyone tried building them from 1:285 Lincoln Logs?

Would a STL suffice? Or do you need the actual model?

Like that?

My wife is currently creating medieval buildings in 6mm for a release, so I could ask her to throw in that blockhouse and put it up on drivethru and/or shapeways.

Here we go:

That round something in the background is a Eurocent.

And the preview render from Shapeways:

I would appreciate any suggestions on how to make the MODEL better (not the print – there is simply too much to do there the discuss this here)…

One main question:
Do you prefer structures that are VISIBLE on a normal 6mm-printout, even when they are absurdly oversized, or do you prefer more realistical structures that only show up on way better prints (like the "frosted detail 0.16mm")?

The blockhouse is now available at DriveThruRPG or RPGnow as a free download.
