Hi. I need about 6 to 8 foot of walls to represent the city walls for Peking, circa 1900. Yep, its Boxer Rebellion. Any suggestions as to who produces such items in 28mm, please? I am looking for maybe more "55 Days at Peking", than necessarily authentic. Obviously I could scratchbuild said items, but with having to build legations and other buildings etc I figured it would be easier to source walls ready made. Any pointers would be appreciated. Cheers. |

Hi Way back in the dark age of the 1980's, MY club did the seige. We made the wall out of foam board with a foam block in the middle. We etched the stone in with pencils & Straight edges. It didn't take along time do.

I printed out a brick pattern found on the internet and glued (used glue sticks) to foam core walls. Very reasonable and quick. Allows you to make them however you wish. |

Thanks for the replies. I am not sure about the 1st Corps ones, they don't look like what I want. Looks like it may well be a scratchbuild (to add to the rest of jobs). Thanks for the advice if I go down this route, all greatly appreciated. Think I will be studying the film closely!! Cheers |

I'd just use pink/blue foam, cover it with white gesso. The walls were 55-60ft tall, IIRC, so that's 12". Nice and intimidating. |

Guess covering them with random-printed brick paper would be better than gesso. |
