Hi.
I need about 6 to 8 foot of walls to represent the city walls for Peking, circa 1900. Yep, its Boxer Rebellion.

Any suggestions as to who produces such items in 28mm, please? I am looking for maybe more "55 Days at Peking", than necessarily authentic.

Obviously I could scratchbuild said items, but with having to build legations and other buildings etc I figured it would be easier to source walls ready made.

Any pointers would be appreciated. Cheers.

Curteys used to do some pretty monolithic (in all senses of the words) Chinese walls…

How about laser cutting ones? I'm working on some chinese laser buildings including walls. but, i'm in China, i think shipping is a problem

Way back in the dark age of the 1980's, MY club did the seige. We made the wall out of foam board with a foam block in the middle. We etched the stone in with pencils & Straight edges. It didn't take along time do.

I printed out a brick pattern found on the internet and glued (used glue sticks) to foam core walls. Very reasonable and quick. Allows you to make them however you wish.

I am not sure about the 1st Corps ones, they don't look like what I want.

Looks like it may well be a scratchbuild (to add to the rest of jobs).
Thanks for the advice if I go down this route, all greatly appreciated. Think I will be studying the film closely!!

I'd just use pink/blue foam, cover it with white gesso.

The walls were 55-60ft tall, IIRC, so that's 12". Nice and intimidating.

Guess covering them with random-printed brick paper would be better than gesso.
